Age ratings

Guidelines

The age ratings for our films are set by the Swiss Film Commission for the protection of young people. You can view a detailed explanation of the age ratings here.

Minimum ages for screenings

Children less than two years younger than the minimum age specified for a screening may attend if they are accompanied by an adult.

Minimum age and accompanying adults

Visitors at our film screenings must be at least 4 years old. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

18 rating

Under-18s may not attend films rated 18, even if they are accompanied by an adult.

Getting here

Allianz Cinema is located right in the historic Münsterplatz. Unfortunately there isn’t any parking around Münsterplatz. It’s best to walk or cycle here. It’s also easy to get here by public transport. You can find all your travel information here.

Babies and children

Please check our age ratings. We’re happy to make an exception for babies, but we ask our visitors to be responsible – please ensure that your little one does not disrupt the screening.

Accessible cinema

Wheelchair accessibility

Great cinema is accessible to all. Allianz Cinema has a disabled toilet and wheelchair spaces. Book tickets for your preferred film night in advance and then send an email to care@cinerent.com detailing the film, location and date you’ve booked tickets for, as well as the number of accompanying persons and (if necessary) required wheelchair spaces.

Audio description & subtitles

The programme includes a list of films with audio descriptions and/or subtitles that can be accessed via the GRETA app.

Food and drinks

Reservations

Seats in the catering area cannot be reserved.

Picnics & food from home

Film-goers may not picnic or bring their own food or drinks. Our catering partners thank you for your understanding and hope you enjoy our truly cinematic experience for your taste buds.

Vegan & vegetarian options

There are tasty culinary treats in store for everyone – including vegans and vegetarians, who have plenty of great options.

Popcorn

You won’t find popcorn here. Why? Because our cinema is outdoors and popcorn scattered on the ground attracts birds and other non-paying creatures.

Restaurant «Zum Isaak»

If you’ve reserved a seat here, you can simply remain seated once you’ve finished your meal and enjoy the evening’s film from the comfort of your table.

Canine companions

In principle, dogs are welcome at cinema premises. However, we ask visitors to be responsible. Please ensure your furry friend does not disrupt the screening.
