One Life

ONE LIFE is based on the true story of Sir Nicholas Winton and was a hit with audiences at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival. ONE LIFE was filmed by multiple Oscar winners Iain Canning and Emile Sherman (King Speech, Lion, The Power Of The Dog). 

Oscar-winner Sir Anthony Hopkins and up-and-coming actor Johnny Flynn play Nicholas 'Nicky' Winton at various stages of his extraordinary life. At the age of 29, Nicky campaigned to rescue refugee children from Czechoslovakia, saving them from Hitler's death camps and bringing them to the safety of British prison families. Battling against public apathy, political hostility and bureaucratic obstacles, he managed to rescue 669 children before war broke out, the borders were closed and the mission was abruptly ended. Half a century later, Nicholas Winton has a surprising reunion with the now grown-up children whose lives he saved.
