The Big Lebowski
Jeff Lebowski (Jeff Bridges) is probably the laziest man in Los Angeles. While the Gulf War is raging on the other side of the world, the old hippie is still mentally living in the seventies. He relaxes to the ambient sound of whale songs and feeds exclusively on White Russians; he rarely puts down a joint. Bowling with his friends Walter (John Goodman) and Donny (Steve Buscemi) is the only thing he can bring himself to do. But the easy going comes to an abrupt end when the Dude is mistaken for a millionaire from Pasadena (David Huddleston). First two bill collectors beat him up to collect debts from his supposed wife Bunny (Tara Reid), then the same Bunny is kidnapped and the “real” Mr. Lebowski asks the Dude to act as a courier. But when he botches the ransom delivery, he suddenly finds himself caught up in an inscrutable web of different interests, pursued and threatened by gangsters, the police and a trio of German nihilists.
